Upstate AHEC provides continuing education programs for healthcare professionals who seek licensure and certification credits. Participants throughout the State of South Carolina are eligible to participate in Upstate AHEC trainings.
A wide range of CE courses are available for various healthcare professionals, including Nurses, Physicians, Social Workers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and others. For convenience, Upstate’s continuing education programs are offered through three learning methods, live, on-line and video conferencing, and range from 30-minutes to multi-day, depending on the course.

More than 30 healthcare institutions and organizations in eleven counties of the Upstate are members of the Upstate AHEC consortium, which entitles their employees to free or discounted courses. See if your healthcare facility is a consortium member.
Consortium Membership
Membership is available not only for institutions and organizations, but for individuals, as well. An individual twelve-month membership provides affordable on-going or multiple courses and certifications for professionals who are not employed by an Upstate consortium member organization.
Anyone healthcare professional may take a course for payment without being an individual member or a consortium member.
