Accreditation

Accreditations and Disciplines Served:

Registered Nurses: Upstate AHEC is an accredited provider of Nursing Professional Development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

 

 

Respiratory Therapists: Upstate AHEC is an approved provider of continuing education for respiratory care practitioners by the SC Board of Medical Examiners. 

Counselors and Therapists: SC AHEC is designated as an approved sponsor of continuing education by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists. 

Social Workers: Upstate AHEC is designated as an approved sponsor by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners of continuing education through the SC AHEC System. 

Massage Therapists:  South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Massage/Body Work Therapy has issued Upstate AHEC provider Number 2 as approved continuing education providers in South Carolina. 

Applications for CEU credit for the following disciplines is offered or requested as needed, on a per-program basis –  

  • Medical Assistants 
  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
  • Law Enforcement 
  • Physical Therapy 
  • Occupational Therapy 
  • Speech Language Therapy 
  • Radiology Technology 
  • Dietitian 
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) 
  • Pharmacy 
  • Athletic Trainer 
  • Victim Service Provider (VSP) 
  • Long-Term Care Administrator 
  • General AHEC Credit (for all other disciplines) 

Please Note: Licensees should verify with their respective licensing board(s) for acceptance of continuing education units. For the type of credit and number of CEUs awarded, please refer to the description of each specific program.  

Transcript Requests

Certificates for professional development programs are made available online after participants have completed the required completion steps and evaluation. For live programming, evaluations are made available for 10 calendar days following the date of the specific program. A certificate of completion will not be made available for if the evaluation is not completed within this timeframe. No partial credit available.  

We ask that you make every effort to save and print your certificate after each course and keep records in a safe place. Please contact the office at (864) 349-1160 to request a certificate copy. There will be a $25 processing fee for retrieval of a full participant transcript.
