CEU Provider for Healthcare Professionals

Upstate AHEC is approved as a provider of Continuing Education for:

Counselors and Therapists: SC AHEC is designated as an approved sponsor of continuing education by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.

Massage Therapists:  South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Massage/Body Work Therapy has issued Upstate AHEC provider Number 2 as approved continuing education providers in South Carolina. The registration expires 6/30/2018.

Occupational Therapists: Upstate AHEC is an AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc.) Approved Provider of continuing education.

Registered Nurses: Upstate AHEC is an accredited provider of Nursing Professional Development by the American Nurses  Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

Respiratory Therapists: Upstate AHEC is an approved provider of continuing education for respiratory care practitioners by the SC Board of Medical Examiners.

Social Workers: Upstate AHEC is designated as an approved sponsor by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners of continuing education.


Application for credit from other specialty groups is requested as needed and received prior to a specific program.

Continuing Education Credit

As an accredited CEU provider, all programs offered by Upstate AHEC meet SC AHEC CE Best Practice Standards. Participants must attend 90% of the program to receive a certificate. No partial credit will be given.  Participants not meeting requirements for satisfactory completion may undergo remediation and/or retake criteria; however, no certificate of completion will be awarded until remediation/retake has occurred.

For the type of credit and number of CEUs awarded, please refer to the description of the specific program.

Continuing Education Certificate Reprints: Professional continuing education certificates are no longer available at the end of each program. They are made available online the day of the course and remain available for 10 days. You must have an enrollment key and complete a course evaluation to access your certificate. You must log into our credit site, complete an evaluation and download your certificate. Please make every effort to save/print your certificate and keep it in a safe place.

There is a $25.00 charge for a duplicate certificate. Payment must be received before the request can be processed.

Transcript Requests
