Nita comes to AHEC with a wealth of knowledge, education and experience in the field of career placement and guidance, college and career programming, management and coordination of services. She has been an AHEC partner in the HCP program area for the past seven years while she worked as a Career Development Facilitator with the Greenville (SC) Schools System. While working with the Greenville schools, she also coordinated their youth court and provided intervention and counseling services through the WRAPS program. A former seven-year employee of the Urban League of the Upstate, she served as their manager of education, youth and family services.
Nita holds a master’s degree in education from Converse College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Columbia College. She is the proud mother of a seventeen-year-old daughter.
