Shayla Dirton

Shayla Dirton has joined Upstate AHEC as Health Careers Program Coordinator. As a HCP coordinator, she will coordinate, develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services designed to increase the number of students entering the healthcare workforce. She brings experience in healthcare, along with a strong background in human resources, organizational development, and customer service.

Shayla enjoys spending time with her family, making memories, and traveling. She is the proud mother of two daughters. Shayla and one of her daughters are products of the Upstate AHEC program, which makes her experience as a Program Coordinator now even more personal and her advocacy even deeper.
