In 2007, Upstate Area Health Education Center (AHEC) received a three-year grant from the Nursing Education, Practice and Retention Program of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration to addresses a significant, but rarely acknowledged problem within the nursing profession: Lateral Violence.
