Purpose: Provide participants with the latest information on implementing evidence based practice and utilizing research.
Target Audience: Nurses, Academic Faculty, Educators, Students and other healthcare professionals interested in healthcare research.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
-Critically appraise and differentiate between the purposes and uses of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research applied to clinical problems.
-Describe the process of building a well constructed clinical question using the PICO(T) method.
-Differentiate qualitative from quantitative nursing research strategies.
-Explore ways in which nurse investigators are conducting research to impact healthcare.
-Explore the current research of information technology with a focus on electronic health records.
Continuing Education Credit
Licensed Nurses- Upstate AHEC is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 5.75 contact hours.
Others-This program is approved for 0.575 CEUs (5.75 clock hours) by Upstate AHEC and meets SC AHEC Best Practice Standards.
