Purpose: To provide a review of the practice of surgical technology.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Review standards of care for pre-operative preparation.
- Review standards of care for post-operative procedures.
- Review the standards of care for intra-operative procedures.
- Review protocol for equipment sterilization/maintenance
- Review anatomy, physiology, microbiology and surgical pharmacology.
- Examine study preparation tips using the NBSTSA Candidate Handbook (2nd Edition).
- Practice test questions with review.

Surgical Technologists: This continuing education activity is approved for 5.5 CE credits by the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc., for continuing education for the Certified Surgical Technologist and Certified Surgical First Assistant.
