At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions that may affect their patient’s response to mobility
- Discuss the evidence for early mobility of complex acute care patients
- Discuss assessments of patients with cardiopulmonary conditions including exercise tolerance and functional assessments and determine treatment programs based upon these assessments.
- Assess physiological responses to activity, analyze these responses and make appropriate adjustments in their plan of care based upon the responses.
- Determine treatment priorities for patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction based upon the results of their assessment and progress exercise appropriately based upon physiological responses to activity.
- Demonstrate appropriate clinical decision making for mobility activities based upon the data from the chart and develop appropriate plans of care for all patients.
