Purpose: Provide participants with knowledge and skills to prepare them to take the critical care registered nurse certification exam.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the requirements for taking the CCRN Exam and test taking strategies.
- Discuss the theory of AACN’s synergy model as it relates to the critically ill patient.
- Define patient centered care.
- Discuss the components of the nursing assessment and patient management related to body systems and system derangements as outlined by the AACN testing template.
Target Audience
Licensed Nurses preparing to take the CCRN certification exam or updating their skills.
Fee
$150 for non members; $50 for AHEC members
Credit
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by The South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 12.5 contact hours.
